My first blog….my first web zine

I’ve been planning on getting back into the “zine game” for a while now, but have been swamped with crap from work and all of my other crappy mundane tasks that I have throughout the course of the day: eating, sleeping, being a slob, trying not to be a slob, cleaning up after other slobs, cleaning up after other slobs animals, oh yeah, and being awesome (…err not so much). Then it dawned on me, I can start a web zine/blog type of deal, then if I ever got the motivation to do a cut and paste zine again I can print stuff from my blog and go from there. The wheels were set in motion while I was intently busy being awesome yesterday, got some advice from Rob (the Party Animal) on free blogs, and set this up.

So what’s the point of this? Pretty simple….I love records, I love going to shows, and I love talking shit. May as well write about it. So what can be expected? I’d like to focus on writing record reviews. There are so many records out there, new and old, that people don’t really know about, but mean so much and are so amazing. I’d also like to interview bands. I hope I don’t ask those boring old questions like I did when I wrote Impending Doom, and Drawstring. Finally, since I have the opportunity, I’d like to write about stuff that pops into my mind, like politics, shit talk, etc.

With that said, welcome to Sink Or Swim! Oh by the way, if you’d like to contribute anything, reviews (both show and record), literature, interviews, artwork, whatever, please get in touch.
